TermDefinition
Motion a change in position over a period of time
Speed = distance/time
reference point location to which you can compare OTHER locations (it is --- far from the reference point)
velocity vector which has both speed AND direction
acceleration RATE that speed changes (speeding up OR slowing down)
Acceleration = change in speed /time
centripetal acceleration acceleration in a circular motion
inertia the tendency for a moving object to keep right on moving
force a push or a pull
newton a unit of force
