Neuro Terms

TermDefinition
Explicit Memory The conscious, intentional recollection of events, experiences, and previously learned facts (Semantic and Episodic Memory)
Semantic Memory Concerned with facts and their context; when damaged the individual is able to remember the event but not the context in which it occurred
Episodic Memory Specific events in a person's life (autobiographical memory)
Implicit Memory An unconscious non-intentional memory (motor skill learning, priming, and classical conditioning)
