| Zemuron | Muscle Relaxer. |
| Nitroglycerin | Tx of angina in people who have coronary artery disease. |
| Percodan | Aspirin and Oxycodone. Used to relieve moderate to severe pain. |
| Levodopa | *Tx for Parkinson's Disease. Dopamine precursor. |
| Propofol | A short-acting, IV administered hypnotic agent. Its uses include the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia, sedation for mechanically ventilated adults, and procedural sedation. Also commonly used in veterinary medicine. |
| Carbidopa, Lodosyn | Increase the amount of LeVoDopa when used in conjunction but not effective when given alone. |
| Dopamine | Does not alter the course of disease and when given orally, will not cross the BBB. |
| What do Anti-Psychotics do? | Prevent nerve cells from responding to dopamine by blocking specific receptors on the cell surface. |
| What do Amphetamines tx? | Narcolepsy, Hyperkineses, Obesity, ADD, Epilepsy. |
| How do drugs that effect the CNS work? | By effecting the Hypothalamus, Cerebral Cortex, Frontal and Temporal lobes. |
| How does caffeine work? | Stimulates the CNS on all levels (cortex, medulla, spinal cord). It relieves fatigue, increases intellect, decreases drowsiness, stimulates respiration and cardiac rythem, and constricts blood vessels. |
| What are Propinic Acids used for? | Analgesics with anti-inflammatory and pyretic properties. |
| Suprofen | Non-steroidal Anti- Inflammatory prescribed for reducing pain and inflammation in the eyes. |
| Xanthine | A purine base found in most human body tissues and fluids and in other organisms. A number of stimulants are derived from this, including caffeine & theobromine. Also found in plant materials for consumption: Coffee, Tea, Chocolate, Cola, Amino Phyline. |
| Profenal | A non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) marketed as 1% eye drops. |
| Ziprasidone | Treats schizophrenia and certain problems caused by bipolar disorder. |
| Aacetylsalicylic Acid | Treats pain, fever, arthritis, and inflammation. It may also be used to reduce the risk of heart attack. |
| Vicodin | Treats moderate to moderately severe pain. |
| Tolbutamide | Treats diabetes mellitus. Belongs to a class of drugs called sulfonylureas. |
| Alprazolam | Treats anxiety, panic disorder, insomnia (trouble sleeping), and anxiety caused by depression. |
| Guaifenesin | Treats cough that is caused by colds, flu, or other conditions. This is an expectorant that loosens mucus in your lungs. |
| Remacemide | Tx of Huntington's Disease. |
| Ganaxolone | A steroid drug related to pregnanolone which has sedative, anxiolytic and anticonvulsant effects. It is being investigated for potential medical use in the treatment of epilepsy. |
