| ozone layer | layer of atmosphere taht absorbs most of the sun's UV light |
| X-rays | high frequency; used in medicine |
| Gamma rays | highest grequency; kills cells |
| opaque | no light passes through; cannot se through |
| transparent | allows light through; can see clearly through |
| translucent | some light passes through; cannot see through clearly |
| reflection | light bounces back |
