QuestionAnswer
Wave A periodic disturbance in asolid, liquid, or gas.
Medium A physical environment in which phenomena occur
Electromagnetic Wave A wave that consists of oscillating electric and magnetic fields
Transverse Wave A wave in which that particles of medium move perpendicular to the direction the wave is traveling
longitudinal Wave A wave in which the particles of the medium vibrate parallel to the direction of the wave motion
crest highest point of the wave
trough lowest point of the wave
ampitude the maximum distance that the particles of a wave's medium vibrate from thir real position
wavelength the distance from any point on a wave to an indentical point on tghe next wave
