What is chronological order ? The time order of events.
What is an example of chronological order ? First I got a bowl of cereal , next I put cereal in the bowl , third I poured milk in my cereal , then i got a spoon , last I ate my cereal .
What are some transitional words ? Before,after,then,first,soon, and eventually .
Can transitional words be used in chronological order ? Yes.
What is cause and effect ? The cause of the problem and its specific effects .
What are cause and effect transitional words ? Because,the result of,cause, effect .
What is similarity and difference ? Nothing how something is similar or different to a better known subject .
What is posing and answering a question ? Provoking and informing the reader .
What are compare and contrast transitional words ? Like,likewise,in the same way,otherwise,however,yet, and still .
What is a expository paragraph ? one of the most commonly used forms for any type of writing .
What is a topic sentence ? The sentence that gives the main idea of an expository paragraph .
What are supporting sentences ? Material that advances thesis.
