What is energy? Energy is the ability to cause,change,or do work.
How are particles in solids packed? Closely packed.
What does an insulator do? Limits the amount of heat.
What do conductors do? Readily allows heat to move.
How are electromagnetic waves used by humans? to kill bacteria,x-rays,and to warm up food.
How do light waves react in a concave lens? Light rays spread out,Objects appear smaller.
What is thermal energy? Is the total energy of those moving particles.
What is radiation? Energy that is sent out in little bundles.
What is sound. a form of energy that travels in waves when objects vibrate.
What are echoes? they are sound waves that bounce back after hitting an object.
What is pitch? pitch is what makes sound seem high or low.
Whats transparent? materials that transmit nearly all light rays that hit them.
what is translucent? Materials that let some light pass through.
what is opaque? materials that dont let any light get through.
what does refraction do? light changes speed as it moves from one transparent medium to another causing light to bend.
whats temperature? the measure of the average amount of motion of particles in matter.
what type of waves are sound waves? longitudinal waves.
