What is descending inhibition? Descending inhibition is when inhibitory neurons in the descending pathway synapse on neurons in the ascending pathway and inhibit their signaling.
What are clonidine and guanfacine used in the treatment of? hypertension
What is an imidazoline receptor? Acts like an alpha 2 receptor (when stimulated will lower BP)
What is a false transmitter? A false transmitter is tricks the cell/receptor into thinking that it is something else.
Which receptor is clonidine specific for? alpha 2
