Thiazides (5%) Hydrochlorothiazide Early Distal convoluted tubule (NaCl co transporter inhibitor Edema, HTN, CHF high Ca, low K (w/ metab alkalosis), carbohydrate intolerance, increase renin activity (not bad per se, but opposite of what you're trying to do)
Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitors (1-3%) Acetazolamide proximal tubule Urinary alkalinazation, glaucoma, epilepsy hypokalemia, metabolic acidosis (HCO3 loss)
