Magnetism and Electricity
| Term | Definition |

| Magnet | any object that pulls certain metals toward it |
| Attract | to pull one toward another |
| Repel | To push away from one another |
| Magnetic Pole | one of two ends of a magnet where the magnetic force is strongest (Think: opposites attract) |
| Iron | a metal that sticks to a magnet |
| Magnetic Field | an invisible field around a magnet |
| Magnetism | a property of certain kinds of materials that cause them to be attracted to a magnet |
| Insulator | a material that prevents the flow of electricity (for example: rubber, plastic, glass) |
| Conductor | a substance through which electricity flows freely (for example: metal) |
| Electrical Discharge | the movement of an electrical charge from one object to another |
| Electrical Charge | the transfer of an electrical charge to charge another object |
| Static Electricity | the build up of an electrical charge on a material |
