QuestionAnswer
Autotroph An organism that makes it's own food.
Chlorophyll A green pigment found in the chloroplasts of plants, algae, and some bacteria.
Fermentation The process by which cells break down molecules to release energy without using oxygen
Heterotroph An organism that cannot make it's own food.
Photosynthesis Is when a plant takes in carbon dioxide, sun light, and water are combined to make energy for the plant.
Pigment The natural coloring matter of a plant or animal tissue.
Stomata Small pores that help a plant breathe.
Respiration The production of energy which also gives off oxygen and takes in carbon dioxide.
Glucose A simple sugar that is a component for an organism and is a carbohydrate.
Autotroph An organism that can create it's own food and produces energy.
