| infer (verb) Inference (noun) | To make a conclusion based on facts |
| Long Vowel Sounds | Make the sound of the vowel name. |
| Lowercase Letters | Letters that are not capitalized. |
| Multisyllabic | A word with more than one syllable. |
| Noun | A person, place, thing, or idea. |
| oi sound | is heard in words like oil, boil, soil, poison |
| Prefix | A letter combination placed at the beginning of a root word. |
| Preposition | One of many words that show the relationship between a noun or a pronoun and another word. |
| r- controlled | A vowl is followed by an r, it makes a special sound called the r- controlled sound. Car, Pier, Manor, Orchard |
| Rhyming Words | Words have the same end sound. |
| Root Word | The main part of a word and contains its basic meaning. |
