QuestionAnswer
Electric current The net movement of electric charging in a single direction.
Static electricity The accumulation of excess electric charge on an object.
Law of conservation A charge can be transferred from object to object.
Conductor A material in which electrons are able to move easily
Insulator A material in which electrons are able not to move easily.
Charging by contact The process of transferring charge by touch.
Charging by Induction The rearranging of electrons on a neutral object.
Voltage difference Related to the force that causes electric charges to flow.
Circuit A closed path that electric flows through.
Resistance The tendency for an electron to oppose the flow of electrons.
Ohm's Law The current equals the voltage difference.
Series Circuit Has only one loop to flow through.
Parallel circuit Contain two or more branches for current to move through.
Electric Power The rate at which electrical energy is converted to another form of energy.
