Penis Shaft made of cartilage with three large blood vessels, which fill to cause an erection.
Foreskin Thin piece of tissue once removed (circumcision) routinely to prevent infection
Anus The external opening of the rectum.
Ovum About the size of a pencil point, the female is born with these eggs and upon puberty will begin to release one at a time.
Ovary Storage area for eggs; 400-500 will ripen and release over a women’s lifetime.
fallopian tube Passageway for egg from storage to uterus. It is lined with cilia.
Uterus Sometimes called the “womb”, this fist size thick muscular organ is where a baby will grow and from which menstruation occurs.
Cervix Mucus membrane at the base of the uterus which coats the vagina to help cleanse, and prepare for sexual intercourse, and the birth of a baby. Common place for infection.
vagina 3-4 inch muscular tube which can expand quite well for the birth of the baby or for sexual intercourse.
Hymen Thin piece of tissue present at birth which partially covers the opening to the vagina.
Inner labia Folds of tissue, which help protect the female reproductive organs
Bladder Where urine is stored
Clitoris Sexually sensitive piece of tissue in the female.
Anus The external opening of the rectum.
