Pineal Gland pine cone shaped, part of thalamus, secretes melatonin, regulates body's circadian rhythm
Oxytosin stimulates uterine contractions, stimulates release of milk
Adrenal Medulla secretes epinephrine and norepinephrine, increases blood pressure, heart rate, and respiration rate
LH Lutenizing hormone, stimulates secretion of sex hormones, releases ova
ADH Antidiuretic hormone, vasopressin, promotes water reabsorbtion by the kidney tubules
ACTH Adrenocorticotropin hormone, regulates adrenal cortex
TSH thyroid stimulating hormone, regulates thyroid gland
Prolactin stimulates milk production
MSH melanocyte stimulating hormone, stimulates melanocytes to produce melanin
t3 and t4 regulate energy production, adjust metabolism
Parathyroid gland secretes parathyroid hormone, regulates blood calcium
mineralocorticoid regulates sodium and potassium levels (aldosterone)
glucocorticoid regulates carbohydrates (cortisol)
steroid sex hormones regulates seconodary sex characteristics (androgen, estrogen, progesterone)
