|---|---|
| Solid | The state of matter with a definite shape and definite volume |
| Definite | The term that means it DOES NOT change |
| Variable | The term that means it DOES change |
| Liquid | Is the state of matter with a definite volume, but a variable volume |
| Gas | The state of matter with a varibale shape, and a variable volume. |
| Plasma | Exsists at very high temperature, ex. sun |
| Bose-Einstein Condensate | Exsists at or near absolute zero (-273 degrees C), all atoms act like the same particle |
| Kinetic energy | The energy an object has due to its motion. |
| Kinetic Theory | Says that all particles of matter are in constant motion. |
| Forces of attraction | Exsist between all particles of matter. |
| Solid Behavior | Particles vibrate around a fixed location. |
| Liquid Behavior | Particles flow to new locations, and stay close together. |
| Gas Behavior | Particles are in constant random motion. Unaffected by forces of attraction. |
