Mechanical Advantage The number of time the force everted on a machine is multiplied by the machine
Screw An inclined plained wrapped around a central cylindar to form a spiral
Wheel and Axel Two circular objects that are fastened together and rotate about a common axis
Lever A ridigd object that piviots about a fixed point
Out Put force The force exerted on an object by a machine
Tendon A band of connective tissue that attaches a mucel to bone
Work Force exerted on an objest that causes it to move
Machine A device that changes the amount of force exerted or the direction in which the force is exerted
Pulley A grooved wheel around in which is wrapped a rope chain or cable
Wedge An inclined plane that moves
Compound Machine A device that combines two or more simple machines
Ideal Mechanical Advantage The machanical advantage that a machine would have without friction
Fulcrum The fixed point around which a lever pivots
Inclined Plane A flat surface with one end higher than the other
Gears two or more wheels linked together by interlocking teeth
Input the force exerted on by a machine
