| Saturated solution | a sloution where no more will dissolve in it |
| Unsaturated solution | not saturated |
| Supersaturated solution | has more dissolved solute than it "should" |
| Corrosive | they "eat away" at other materials |
| Indicator | a compound that changes color when in contact with an acid or a base |
| Base | a substance that tastes bitter, feels slippery, and turns red litmus paper blue |
| Acid | any substance that produces H+ in water. |
| Neutralization | a reaction between an acid and a base |
| Salt | an ionic compound made from a neutralization reaction |
