QuestionAnswer
What is impure matter and what is it also known as? A substance containing a mixture of elements. It is also known as a mixture, which does not chemically combine substances
What are the two different mixtures? Heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures.
What are the categories of heterogeneous mixtures? Suspension and colloids.
What are homogeneous mixtures? Substances so evenly distributed that it is difficult to tell one from another.
What is the difference between colloids, suspensions and solutions? Colloids are intermediate sized and scatter light(fog) Suspensions are large particles that scatter light and solutions are very small particles that don't scatter light.
