Definition of pure substance? a substance that cannot be broken down any simpler
Definition of element? a substance with 1 atom
Definition of compound? two elements used to combine into something different
Definition of atom? the smallest particle of an element
Definition of heterogeneous mixture? parts of the mixture are noticablebly different from one another
Definition of homogenious mixture? difficult to distinguish substances from one another
Definition of colloid? a mixture that contains some particles that are intermediate
definition of solution? a mix that forms when substances dissolve to a homogenous mix
What is the definition of Suspension? a heterogeneous mix that separates into layers
