Solutions
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Solution | is a mixture that has the same composition, color density and even taste throughout |
| Solute | The substance being dissolved. |
| Solvent | The substance doing the dissolving |
| Polar | Which means it has a positive area and negative area |
| Solubility | Is the max amount of solute that can be dissolved in a given amount of solvent |
| Saturated solution | Is a solution that contains all the solute it can hold at any given temperature |
| Unsaturated solutions | A solution that can hold no more of the solute at a particular temperature is said to be a saturated solution at that temperature. |
| Super saturated solution | Solution that is more concentrated than a saturated solution is known as super saturated solution. If a crystal of solute is added to this solution, the excess of solute crystallizes. |
