what is energy level? possible energies that electrons in an atom can have.
what model do scientist use to describe how electrons behave in atoms? electron cloud.
what is electron cloud? visual model of the most likely locations for electrons in atoms.
what can happen to electrons when an atom gain or lose energy? moves from one energy level to another.
what is orbital? a region or space around the nucleus where an electron is likely to be found.
what is the most stable configuration of electrons in an atom? the one which the electrons are in the orbitals with the lowest possible energy.
what is ground state? all the electrons have lowest enegy
what does an electron cloud represent? all orbitals in an atom.
