Text Features- 5th grade

QuestionAnswer
Table of Contents Found at the front of the book. It list major sections or chapters in the book and the pages they begin on.
Charts It presents information in columns and rows so you can quickly compare information
Pie Chart Divides a circle into pieces. Each piece represents a percent of the whole amount. When put together the total represents the whole amount of the topic.
Bar Graph Uses bars to show information. The higher or longer the bar the grater the amount.
Line Graph A line is used to show changes over time. The higher the line the greater the change.
Index Found at the back of the book. It is an alphabetical list of topics found in the book and the pages they are on.
