What is a region? an area in which places share similar characteristics
What is a landform? a natural feature on Earth’s surface (i.e. mountain, river)
What is a mountain? a very high landform, often with steep sides
What is a plain? a large area of mostly flat land that is often covered with grass
What is a desert? an area that gets very little rain
What is a canyon? a deep valley with steep rocky walls
What is a plateau? a large, flat, raised area of land
What is a boundary? a line or natural feature that divides one area from another or one state from another.
