Do the properties of pure water from a glacier and from a desert oasis differ? No. A pure substance retains the same properties no matter what the state.
A combination of two or more substances that are not chemically combined is called what? A mixture.
Substances in a mixture have the same what before the mixture was formed? Each substance retains the same chemical makeup
A mixture that appears to be a single substance but is composed of particles of two or more substances that are distributed evenly amongst each other are called what? A solution.
What does the word homogenous mixture mean? They have the same appearance and properties throughout the mixture.
A mixture that has the different components easily seen is called what? A heterogeneous mixture.
