Definition of Terms

QuestionAnswer
the people, animals, or creatures who are part of a story characters
a group of words that are taken directly from a speech or text quotation
the part of the plot that tells the very end of the story resolution
a rewriting of text in one's own words without changing the main idea of the text paraphrasing
all of the events that take place in a story plot
the part of the plot that gives the turning point of the story climax
