What is a domain?   A domain is a set of features that makes up the main areas of quality writing.

How long is the SOL Writing Test?   It takes two days because there are two parts.

What does the score mean?   The scores indicate the degree of control (skill or mastery)that the writer shows within each domain.

What is a passing score on the essay?   A score of 3 or 4 in each domain means a passing score.
