preparation | enema or fasted, radiograph before administered label with time and sequence |
esophogram | barium sulfate, contrast given orally, taken immediately |
upper GI | barium sulfate, orally or stomach tube, xray every 15 mins |
barium enema | colon, barium sulfate, rectally, fluoroscopy used, xrays taken once fully gone through |
pneumocolon | colon,room air, rectally, xray after given |
+ contrast cystogram | urinary, ultravist, urinary catheter, palpate bladder, xray once bladder is full |
- contrast cytogram | urinary, air, pt. in lateral recumbency |
double contrast cystogram | urinary, non-ionic, air, air through the urinary catheter, when bladder full |
