Johannes Gutenberg's moveable type printing press | Helped spread new ideas throughout Europe, helped increase literacy rate, helped spread Renaissance into the rest of Europe |

Renaissance Art vs Medieval Art | Medieval artist emphasized symbolism over realism, art was typically flat/2D. Renaissance artists gave their work a secular look, idealized human figure with "Golden Section", and used perspective for depth |
Erasmus vs Machiavelli' view on rulers | Machiavelli: Ruler must do whatever necessary to keep power, be feared over loved, be a master of war. Erasmus: A good ruler should be educated in classics, BIble, and be concerned with public good |

Growth of cities - end of feudalism | Workers moved from manors to cities for jobs/money. NObles moved to cities for money/prestige. This weakened manor systems/contributed to end of feudalism |
