Northwest Passage | Europeans searched for a quicker route to Asia and wanted to find a Northwest route (passage) |
Native Americans | Native American tribes who were living in North America for years before Europeans. Natives and Europeans had positive and negative interactions |
Bartering | The trading of goods for goods |
Colony | A settlement far away from the country that rules it. |
Spices | Spices from Asia were valuable because they helped preserve food and made it taste better |
Merchants | Were people looking to make a profit which means they had extra money over after costs of running business |
Conquistador | Someone who conquered territory. Many came from Spain to Mexico |
Combain Exchange | The exchange of food, crops,goods, diseases, and ideas between the New world (North/South America) and Europeans after Columbus expedition |
