What is the sequence for the development of FMC an eye hand coordination? -Reach -Grasp -Hold -Release
What is reaching? The movement and stabilization of the arm for the purpose of contacting an object with the hand
What is grasp? Begins in the last part of the reach in anticipation of object size and contour and incorporates finger opening and closure
What is carrying? Transporting a hand held object from one point to another
What is release? Intentional letting go of hand-held object at a specified time/place, taking pressure off of an object
What muscles of the hand provide power? Extrinsics (ECRL, ECRB, FCR, PL, FCU, FDS)
What muscles of the hand provide precision? Intrinsic
A child has hands that are fisted near the face how old might they be? 0-2 months

What is asymmetrical bilateral coordination? 1 UE stabilizes while the other performs an action
A child shows interest in scissors and begins to hold them, how old might they be? 1.5-2 years
