Definition of project | Temporary endeavor undertaken to create unique product, service or result. |
Project Team | Project involve everyone that is working on a project. |
Project Management Team | Project management team, includes all the people working with a PM role inside a project. |
Stakeholder | People or organization whose interest may be positevely or negatively impacted by the project or the product of a project. |
Governance | Overall structure of an organization, and it involves setting the policies and procedures for how work will be performed to meet high levels strategic goals. |
PMO (Supportive, Controlling, Directive) | Departamental unit within the organization that provides or ensure compliance with Project Governance. |
Organizational Project Management (OPM) | Serves as a guide or driver for project, program and portfolio management as well as other organizational practices. |
Organizational Structure, Matrix | This structure it is considered to be a mix of Functional and Project oriented. |
Functional Organizational Structure | Grouped by area of specialization within functional areas, such as accounting, marketing, manufacturing, etc. |
Project-Oriented Organizational Structure | The entire company is organized by projects. Team members complete project work and don't belong to any department. |
Project Expediter | Act as a staff assistant or communication coordinator. |
Projet Coordinator | Similar to expediter but has some authority and power to make decisions and report to a higher level manager. |
Enterprise Environmental Factors | EEFs are similar to OPAs in that they provide context within which to plan the project, but are generally outside the control of the project team. It could be external and/or internal to the company. |
Organizational Proccess Assets | Are the plans, processes, procedures, policies and knowledge bases specific to and used by the performing organization. These assets infuence the management of the project. |
Assumption Log | Is a repository of assumptions and constraints. |
Asumptions | Important part of communications to understant what your management and stakeholders believe to be true about the project. |
Constraints | Limit options during planning and beyond. |
Work Performance Data | Initial measures and details about the activities gathered during Direct and Manage Project Work process in executing. |
Work Performance Information | Performance data collected from various from various controlling processes, analyzed in context and integrated based on relationships across areas. |
Work Performance Reports | Combination of Performance Information compile into project documents, which is intended generate decisions or raise issues, actions or awareness. |
Operational Work | Operations are work that are considered to be on-going. |
Program Management | Group several projects into a program. This approach focus on interdependencies between projects. may help decrease risk, achieve economy of scale and improve management. |
Portfolio Management | The management of project, programs and operation work that contributes to the strategic goals of the organization. |
Expert judgment | Common tool of the project management planning processes. |
Meetings | Often used in the projecto management planning processes as an effective way to get input or feedback from groups of people. |
Project Governance | Project Governance includes the framework within which the project work is performed across the organization. |

Development life cycle | Collection of phases that form a project life cycle. |
Plan-driven | Have predictive developmental life cycles that requieres scope, schedule and cost to be determined in detail early in the life of a project. |
Change-driven | Use incremental, iterative, or adaptive (agile) developmental life cycle. Have varying levels of early planning for scope, schedule and cost. |
