Konstantin Pobedonostev served under Alexander III and leading official at the beginning of Nicholas II. Opposed reform and high ranking member in Orthodox Church
Sergei Witte Served under Nicholas II and supported reform. Minister of finance and believed in rapid industrialisation. Dismissed by the tzar and called back to be prime minister
Vladimir Lenin Exiled to Siberia and returned during February Revolution. He opposed the provisional government and played a role in the October Rev. Led Russia until his death in 1924.
Leon Trotsky Exiled after 1905 Rev and joined Lenin and the Bolsheviks abroad and played a role in their seizure for power and the creation of the Red Army. Lost a power fight with Stalin.
Pyotr Stolypin prime minister and leader of the third duma. Tried to counter unrest by making peaseant life easier.
Mikhail Bakunin Leading anarchist
Georgi Plekhanov Russian Marxist who spent more than 30 years in exile. Supported the Russian social democratic party. Opposed Lenins idea to create the Bolshevik party
Grigori Rasputin advisor to the tzar and tzarina
Alexander Kerensky minister of justice and prime minister under the provisional government. Basically the leader but he lacked the ruthlessness of Lenin.He continued the war and postponed land reforms.
