| Rational Numbers | Integers, Fractions, Decimals Ex. .2, .9478, 4, 5, -1.9 |
| Opposites | Numbers that have the same absolute value. Ex. 9 and -9 |
| Absolute Value | The distance from 0. Ex. 9 is the absolute value of -9 |
| Integers | Whole Numbers, Their Opposites, and 0. Ex. 1,2,3 -1,-2,-3,0 |
| Additive Inverse | Two numbers, a and b, that satisfy the equation. Ex. a+b=0, -3+3=0 |
| Additive Identity | Zero is the additive identity of any number. This is because if you add 0 to a number it will not change. |
