| How is a monarch/king different from a tyrant/dictator? | A monarch is different from a tyrant because they didn't use force to gain power, they inherited power from the bloodline. |

| What dangers were there when trading and traveling by sea? | It was uncomfortable and dangerous. Might be attacked by pirates. |

| What goods did Greeks trade from mainland Greece? | They traded olive oil, pottery, and wine. |
| What did Greeks get in exchange for their goods? | They got grain, timber and metal. |
