| Socialism | A system of government in which the government controls economic resources |

| Tundra | Flat treeless land found in arctic and subarctic regions |
| Nonrenewable Fossil Fuel | A source of energy such as oil, natural gas, or coal |
| Semiarid | Somewhat dry, with very little rainfall |
