| Term | Definition |
| Win-Lose | Always trying to get ahead of others or be better than other people |
| Lose-Win | Always looking for sympathy. Insecure. |
| Lose-Lose | You envy and criticize others. Putting people down (often yourself) |
| Win-Win or No Deal | Balancing courage and consideration is the way to help others feel good and for you to feel good. |
| Lose-Win | Eager to please and reluctant to stand up for yourself. But don't say anything |
| Lose-Lose | don't care if other people lose, nor has the courage to stand up to yourself. |
| Win-Lose | Might be subtle about it, but you ultimately see life as a competition, and want to make sure you're taken care of first. |
| Win-Win or No Deal | Balancing courage and consideration takes proactive patience. |

| Set clear expectations | Don't leave things fuzzy with roommates, study groups, or at work, then follow through on what what's expected. |
| Apologize | If you are wrong , admit it now |
| Forgive | Learn to forgive and forget so that you don't keep hurting yourself the way you were hurt. |
