| Question | Answer |
| Organelles --Rafael Izas Liard | they serve as the cell's organs |
| Cytosol | clear watery substance located between the cell wall and the neucleus -serves to protect the organells from gravity and keeps them in their place - it also allows for chemical signals to travel trough the cell |
| Cytoplasm | combination of organelles and cytosol |
| Nucleus | the neucleus is like the brain of the cell, controlling all of its functions |
| Nuclear membrane | it controls what is allowed to go in and out of the nucleus and protects the DNA |
| Chromatin | it holds the blueprints for the cell allowing it to reproduce |
| Mitochondria | provides energy for the cell by transforming crude glucode into ATP which is a type of energy that the cell can use. it has its own DNA |
| endoplasmic reticulum | it is located near the neucleus to recieve messages quicker and is covered with vesicles |
| ribosomes | they produce ptroteins |
| vesicles | they are a sort of bubble that act as transport containers |
| golgi apparatus | the combination of the endoplasmic reticulum with the vesicles it sorts proteins and then sends them through the cell membrane using vesicles |
| lysosomes | they are vesicles that contain digestive enzymes that can break things down for reuse or destroy microbes |
| ATP | the type of energy that cells can use it is an altered form of glucose |
| Cell wall | it is a rigid layer outside of the cell membrane only found withing plant cells helps plants stand up |
| Chloroplast | contains green chlorophyll and makes energy using carbon dioxide, water and the sun's energy |
| Chlorophyll | absorbs enegry from sun light and is crucial for photoshynthesis |
| Large vacuoles | they are used to store water in plant cells as it does not rain often and plants cannot aquire water by them selves |
