| Question | Answer |
| Place Value | The position of a digit in a number that tells the value of the digit. |
| Millions | In a number, the period of three places to the left of the thousands period. |
| Period | A group of three digits, separated by commas, starting from the right. (NOT Mr. D's word) |
| Expanded Form | A number written as the sum of the values of its digits. |
| Greater than symbol > | A symbol that points away from the greater number or expression.. |
| Less than symbol < | A symbol that points toward a lesser number or expression. |
| Rounding | A process that determines which multiple of 10, 100, 1,000 and so on, a number is closest to. |
| Conjecture | A statement that is believed to be true but has not been proven. |
| Families | A term that Mr. D uses that replaces period. |
