3.What is hue? | Hue refers to the color itself, Each different hue is a different reflected wavelength of light. When light is broken into a prisim there are 7 hues; red, orange, yellow, green, indigo & violet |
4.What are the primary colors? | 3 Basic colors used to create other colors. They are; red, blue, yellow |
5.What are the secondary colors? | 3 Colors achieved by mixing primary colors. These colors include; violet, green, orange |
6.What are the tertiary colors? | Colors achieved when you mix one primary color with one secondary. These include; red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange, red-orange |
7.What is a saturated color? | Saturated colors are colors without white or black in them. |
8.What three groups make up the color wheel? | Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary colors. |
9.What is a tint? | A tint is a saturated color that is mixed with pure white color. |
10.What is a shade? | A shade is a saturated color that is mixed with pure black color |
11.What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? | Red, Orange, Yellow |
12.What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? | Blue, Green, Violet |
13.What are the five neutral colors? | Black, Grey, White, Brown & Tan |

17.What is a complementary color harmony? | Two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheelex. Yellow & Purple |
18.What is a triadic color harmony? | Three colors that are located within equal distance of each otherex. Red, Blue, Yellow |
19.What is a split complementary scheme? | This is created by using any color and the two colors located next to that colors complementex. Yellow, Red-Violet, Blue-Violet |
20.What is a neutral color scheme? | Any combination of Blacks, Greys, Whites, Browns, & Tans |
