| Term | Definition |
| Attribute | designates who said a quote, is doing a pictured activity, etc. |
| Binding | process involving glue and paper by which books are assembled. |
| Closed question | could be answered with just a “yes” or “no”. Avoid them. Ask “open questions”. |

| Dominant photo | large, generalistic photo for a spread |

| Gridline | use the x and y coordinates on this to line up objects, NOT your eyes!!! |
| Headline | Prominent title for copy- DON’T just use the name of the activity or class. Get catchy with alliteration or figurative language, etc. |
| Tag | to use software to index the people in a photo. |
