Multiplying Radicals | Ex. squareroot of 3 x square root of 3 = square root of 9 |
Dividing Radicals | Ex. the sqaure root of 50/2 =square root of 25 |
Rationalize the Denominator | the numerator can have radicals, the denominator can not |
Adding or Subtracting Radicals | Only like radicals can combinbe Ex. suare root of 3 plus square root of 3 = 2 times the square root of 3 |
Multiplying Binomials | using multiplication in binomials really means adding them Ex. (3Y) (3Y) = 9Y2 or FOIL |
Conjugate | Ex.(a-b) is the conjugate of (a+b). |
Rational Exponents | Top number is the power of the number the bottom number is the root of the radical |
Radical Equations | 2(X + 3)32 = 54 |
