| Term | Definition |
| reference map | Is the location of geography but takes by it own data. |
| thematic map | Is designed to be specialized by the geographic area. |
| GPS | Is a spaced-based satellite to check locations and time to your destination. |
| GIS | Is a computerized data management system that can store retrieve, and mange, etc.., that can display information. |
| distance scale | This measures the distance of your location, and this scale is on the bottom of the map that scales yards, meters, and miles. |
| directional indicator | Is a large price range that lies beneath the largest current period of the previous price range. |
| inset map | Is a map inside of a map that describes what is in the map and showing what are in the places. |
| legend | Is a table, chart, or key to label the things that are on the map. |
| latitude (parallels) | Is the line the is the distance that measures from the north to the south. |
| longitude (meridians) | Is the line that is the distances that measures from the east and west of the equator. |
| Equator | That measures the distances of weather vs. climate and that measures heat and cold. |
| Prime Meridian | Measures the heat mostly and that goes north and south. |
| northern hemisphere | Is half of north of the equator. |
| southern hemisphere | Is the southern of earth's surface. |
| eastern hemisphere | Is east of the prime meridian and it is half of it. |
| western hemisphere | Is half of the earth and that is west of the prime meridian that lies on the earth. |
| continents | One of the main landmass usually reckoned seven of them and they each have different weather and climate masses. |
| map grid | Is a grid of geographic and projected coordinates that are aprat of layout maps. |
