Term | Definition |
Biome | A large grouping of ecosystems characterized by particular plant and animal types. |
Current | A body of water moving in a definite direction, especially through a surrounding body of water which there is less movement. |
Sustainability | Resource management and/or economic development that provides for the needs of the present without compromising future opportunities. |
Conservation | Efficient use and careful management of resources to attain maximum possible benefits from them. |
Preservation | The non-use of resources; limiting resource development for the purpose of saving resources for the future. |
Erosion | The process by which environmental factors, such as wind, rivers, and rain, wear away soil and stone. |
