Term | Definition |
Point | An exact location on a plane, named with a capital letter. |
Line | A straight path that extends without end in opposite directions. |
Plane | A flat surface that has no thickness and extend forever. |
Ray | Part of a line that has 1 endpoint and extends forever in 1 direction. |
Line Segment | Part of a line or ray that extends from 1 endpoint to another. |

Complementary Angles | Two angles whose measures add to 90°. |
Supplementary Angles | Two angles whose measures add to 180°. |
Acute Angle | The measure of the angle is greater than 0° and less than 90°. |

Obtuse Angle | The measure of the angle is greater than 90° and less than 180°. |
Straight Angle | The measure of the angle is 180°. |
Parallel Lines | Lines in a plane that never meet. |
Perpendicular Lines | Lines that intersect at 90° angles. |
Transveral | A line that intersects 2 or more lines that lie on the same plane. |
Adjacent Angles | Angles with a common vertex and a common side, but no common interior points. |
Vertical Angles | Opposite (nonadjacent) angles formed by two intersecting lines. |
