Term | Definition |
congruent | Having exactly the same size and shape. |
diameter | A line segment that passes through the center of a circle and has endpoints on the circle. Twice the radius. |
line | A set of points that extends without end in two opposite directions. |
line segment | Part of a line with a point at each end. |
midpoint | A point that is equal distance from the two endpoints of a line segment. |
parallel | Lines, rays, or line segments that are the same distance apart and never meet. |
perpendicular | Lines, rays, or line segments that meet at right angles. |
radius | A line segment from the center of a circle to any point on the circle. One half the diameter. |
ray | A part of a line that has one endpoint and extends without end in one direction. |
similar | Exactly the same shape but not the same size. |
