What is No-tech? | Low tech is assistive technology that contains no mechanical technology. Examples: a rubber band. |
What is Low-tech? | Low-tech is assistive technology that contains some mechanical parts, but it is not a computer or anything that contains the highest level of technology. examples: a timer. |
What does is specialized-tech? | Specialized tech is assistive technology that consists of the highest technology possible. Most of the time this includes a computer and some program on the computer. |
Examples: How can a rubber band be used as assistive technology | If you knot the rubber band and place one end around the pencil and one end around the hand it could be used to help stabilize the hand. |
Examples: Would a pencil grip be used as assistive technology | yes |
Examples: Would manipulative be used as assistive technology? | only if they improve the function of the child. If they are being used as academic tools they are not considered assistive tech. |
