Velocity, Displacement, Acceleration, Free Fall

        Help!

Question
Answer
Frame of reference   an object which is used to measure changes in position
🗑
Displacement   change in position from the starting point
🗑
Velocity   the measure of rate of movement of an object. Includes direction of motion.
🗑
Average Velocity   total displacement divided by total time. (includes direction)
🗑
Average Speed   distance traveled divided by total time. (does not include direction)
🗑
Slope   rise over run on a graph. Divide the change in the y coordinates by the change in the x coordinates
🗑
Instantaneous Velocity   velocity of an object at a certain moment in time.
🗑
Instantaneous Speed   the number given to you by your car’s speedometer.
🗑
Acceleration   Rate at which velocity changes over time. Can be positive or negative. It is determined by a change in speed, direction, or both.
🗑
Free Fall   Motion of a body when the only force acting on it is gravity.
🗑
Air Resistance   Friction created by air that slows the acceleration of an object in free fall.
🗑
Terminal Velocity   The constant speed an object reaches when falling through a medium. It does depend on mass, shape, and size.
