Semi Membranosus   Origin: ischial tuberosity. Insertion: upper medial tibia. Nerve: Sciatic-Tibial portion L5,S1,S2. Action: Extends hip @ thigh.also flexes leg @ knee and medially rotates leg if knee is flexed.

Semitendinosus   Origin: ischial tuberosity. Insertion: upper medial Tibia. Nerve: Sciatic-Tibial portion,L5,S1,S2. Action: extends thigh @ hip. It also flexes leg @ knee and medially rotates leg if knee is flexed.
