🗑
Statistics   The study of numerical data: collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to interpret it and answer questions.
🗑
Statistical Question   A question that would be answered by collecting or analyzing data.
🗑
Range   The difference between the maximum and the minimum in the data set. It is a measure of how spread out a distribution is.
🗑
Variability   How spread out values in a set of data are.
🗑
Dot Plot   A number line long enough to encompass all numbers in a sample, showing a dot over the position corresponding to each number.
🗑
Maximum   Highest or greatest amount or value.
🗑
Distribution   The distribution of data typically takes into account the range and spread of a data set.
🗑
Mode   A type of average.
🗑
Data Landmark   Data is often in graphs or charts for analysis and may include facts, numbers or measurements.
🗑
Minimum   Lowest or least amount or value.
🗑
Median   A type of average which is the middle value of an ordered set of data values.
🗑
Average   An average is a measure used to find the location of the middle (central tendency) of a data set.
🗑
Mean   Usually called the average and may be called the arithmetic mean.
🗑
Balance Point   Having the same weight (mass) on either side, creating the balance point in the middle.
🗑
Measure of Center   Measures that describe a data set by identifying the 'central' or middlemost value by a single number.
🗑
Outlier   A value far away from most of the rest in a set of data.
🗑
Histogram   A graph using bars to represent frequency distribution where,
🗑
Cluster   Numbers which tend to crowd around a particular point in a set of data values.
🗑
Counting Number   A whole number from one to infinity.
🗑
Whole Number   A counting number from zero to infinity,
🗑
Positive Number   A number greater than zero.

Unit Fraction   A fraction with a numerator of 1.
🗑
Map Scale   A ratio between two sets of measurements.
🗑
Opposite   Two numbers different from each other.
🗑
Ordered Pair   A pair of numbers where order is important, for example, (4, 6) is different to (6, 4).
🗑
Coordinate Grid   Paper marked with regular lines
🗑
Quadrant   A quarter of a circle or its circumference.
🗑
Origin   The point of intersection of the x and y axis on a coordinate or Cartesian plane.
🗑
X-Coordinate   The position of a point according to the x axis.
🗑
Y-Coordinate   The position of a point according to the y axis.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.

To hide a column, click on the column name.

To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.

You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.

Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
